Fire salvage teams used to be an integral part of fire-fighting in major cities. Working alongside fire brigades, they were financed by insurance companies to preserve mainly commercial stock and valuables from the active fire scene.
Today's fire brigades have automatically inherited many of the "fire salvage" tasks previously shared with the salvage corps of the past.
The service we provide is the "next step" in the chain of events.
First
Who engages our services?
Our services can be engaged either directly by insurance companies or the parties affected by the fire.
Second
When can we assist?
We provide our services after a fire, and not during the event.
We can only provide our services at a fire once the fire brigade has declared the scene safe and allowed us access. Any official investigations into the cause of the fire always have priority.
Third
What happens next?
Once we can access the scene we can remove any remaining valuables, or stock that remains viable, and of commercial value. This can be stored, pending instructions.
We do not become involved in any structural issues, making safe, or boarding-up of premises.
